Alexis: The Icing on the Cupcake (Cupcake Diaries #20)
Alexis is excited about the latest Cupcake Club job—it’s a huge order for a neighbor’s BBQ/pool party. Not only will the CC make a lot of money, but Matt—Alexis’s super crush—will be there! But when Alexis goes to the mall with her friends, suddenly nothing fits her. Clothes in her usual size are too short, but when she goes up a size, everything is too big. What’s going on? Can she find an outfit that makes her feel as awesome on the outside as she is on the inside?

this book be good to read but i haven't read this book yet
As the series progresses, I am beginning to develop a fondness for Alexis. There is just something about her personality that I click with. I like the other girls; it's just she stands out a little more than the rest of the cupcakers. In this installation of the Cupcake Diaries we literally read that she is "growing up". She is having trouble fitting into her clothes, she feels awkward, slightly argumentative and self-conscious. I really enjoyed this one a lot!
Coco Simon always dreamed of opening a cupcake bakery, but shes afraid she would eat all the profits. When shes not daydreaming about cupcakes, Coco edits childrens books and has written close to 100 books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes shes eaten. Cupcake Diaries is the first time Coco has mixed her love of cupcakes with writing.I really enjoyed this book! Alexis is insecure because she grew so tall so now none of her clothes fit. Meanwhile Matt has been looking at her and acting weird around her. Does he like her? Alexis is also know getting bad grades in school and just can't focus. Luckily her parents and teachers understand and Alexis really blocks out stresses and focuses on her work. I recommend this book for ages 7+. I may reread this book.
Not sure when she read this.
