Weigh Up Containing Books Anthem for Jackson Dawes
A wonderfull story that brought me to tears😭😭

An inspiring novel by Celia Bryce about two teenagers suffering from cancer. Anthem for Jackson Dawes not only draws upon the difficulties of coping with being in hospital and away from family and friends but also the hardships parents and other cancer patients have to endure when a death occurs on the ward.Although reasonably well written, the plot is unoriginal and too fast-moving; one minute Megan hates Jackson and in the next chapter she loves him. I think if Bryce had made the novel longer

BOOK REVIEW by Michelle 18th February 2013: RATING: 4.25 JACKSON STARS!Megan Bright has cancer. I knew this book was going to make me have a cry. Being a mum of three kids you always hope they stay healthy, but the truth is a lot of kids arent healthy. They get cancer. Babies get cancer. Toddlers get cancer. Young kids get cancer. Teenagers get cancer. This hospital does not have a ward for teenagers, the non adult age patients, so Megan found herself in a ward with babies aged through to young

A bit of a predicable ending
