This is a wonderful short book on the relationship between science and religion (Christianity). The selection of good referenced quotations are by themselves worth the purchase. The book reads very much like the author speaks, thus the book is very approachable and (for this type of topic) easy to read. However, the message has not been watered down, but has simply been communicated succinctly and well. The author is a Christian, so the book obviously is faithful to this viewpoint. With that

Short and sweet.What a fantastic book. Chapter 9 is one of the best presentations of the Gospel message I have read/heard in a long time. Lennox wrote this book for all, but I have read most of his books, and this one is for the layman. Which I am so for that I salute you.

First, I agree with the author's viewpoint. Second, this is a really helpful little book for someone struggling with their Christianity and science. It's something I can recommend to students in high school (it's short, 125p.) Can Science explain everything? The answer is no.

Lennox's book is a short and sweet challenge to a contemporary attitude that idolizes science. Through his level-headed retelling of scientific history, his close examination of scientific theory, and his reasoned evaluation of faith's role within science, Lennox shows the limitations of science. Too few people understand that science has any limitations at all, let alone spell them out quite as clearly as does Lennox. This is an easily readable book, I think it took me a couple of days to finish it, but it is well worth the effort to learn what a top-level scientist thinks of the limits of science.

Lennox has an excellent background in science and the philosophy of science to write this book; to summarize in layman language what science can do and what science cannot do. He has a laidback, humorous and winsome style. He is a C.S. Lewis fan, and he articulates principles in a C.S. Lewis style, clear and concise. This was my first book by Prof. John Lennox. I bought this book because the title was catchy. I should admit that I was curious to read it.
