Rate About Books Fruits Basket, Vol. 16 (Fruits Basket #16)
I love this series and Kyoko and Katsuya's relationship, but removed a star because no 13/14 year old should ever be dating an assistant teacher. Honestly no 18 year old should be either but at least its legal (not including the ethical responsibilities a teacher has to their job).

The first half was very painful to read, because I really didn't like Tooru's mothers past: her relationship with her teacher was weird and happened pretty fast (plus he said that he fell in love with her when he saw her crying, WHAT).This series in general gives me such mixed feelings. The start was so good but now I feel like this is very often just pretty pointless and long torture porn. 😞 All of these characters have such painful pasts that it gets boring. Everyone, and I mean everyone, have

Im really torn on how to rate thisI guess I should just say my thoughts first. So, Tohrus mom and dad are eight years apart, which that fact by itself isnt too much of a problem, except for the fact that they met when Kyoko (Tohrus Mom) was only 14, and in middle school where Katsuya (Tohrus dad) was a student teacher, and would have been 22 Yeah I had a major problem with this. It feel like an abuse of authority. I understand the story, I get Kyoko was struggling and he helped her, but there

This is a nostalgia series for me. There are definitely flaws and some things that don't hold up now as the series grows older, but it remains one of my favorite manga of all time (hence why it'll get five stars regardless). The characters are engaging, beautiful, multilayered, and wonderful. Seeing their journeys grow and change really hits me. There are some pages in the later volumes that really, really hit me hard even now and flash me back to that time when I first read them. This is

Katsuya is not at all how I remembered him. He looks so much like how Kureno is drawn too that it confused me at first! And then I cried...

OMG SOB FACTORY!!!!! Most of this volume is dedicated to Tohru's parents, Kyoko and Katsuya - how they met and they're life together. I was a complete mess!! Katsuya is sooo handsome!!! But, that wasn't why I was a mess.I love the way Kakeru and Yuki interact with each other! Hilarious! Kakeru sure is a fun character!Of course, it ended with me seething at Akito, but once again, Ayame saved the day and had me laughing in hysterics! I really love Ayame beyond all reason!!

It starts of with Kyo, but then suddenly goes in Tohru's past. Or so, when her mother and father are maybe still alive. Her mother was in a family, her dad didn't care about love, he mostly cared about his image at work. Her mother cared about her image of beauty, to be in shape, they didn't really care about Tohru's mother. (In high school) she then meets a student teacher, and they start to hang-out a lot. She gets in an accident and she doesn't get to do her high school entrance exam. She
