Representaion To Books Walt Disney's Grandpa Bunny (A Little Golden Book Classic)

I loved this book as a child, and replaced it at a recent Golden Books art event held in a local museum. The charming watercolor illustrations of little rabbits learning to paint spring flowers and autumn leaves are just as delightful to me now as they were when I was a child.

Great Grandpa Bunny Bunny teaches several generations of Bunnyville's children how to paint Easter eggs, flowers, butterflies and more before he tells them he has to go away ... but he leaves them with the special secret about how they will hear from him after the rain.

This is a precious little book.

Criticize Appertaining To Books Walt Disney's Grandpa Bunny (A Little Golden Book Classic)
AS A CHILD, I LOVED THIS! Especially the vivid colors and the idea of painting the forest.

My sister did a mural based on this book and it was really great.

The illustrations are marvelous, really love it! And Great Grandpa Bunny Bunny taught me that we don't have to tell people and brag about things we do in order to make them happy. We just do whatever we can, for ourselves to enjoy, for the next generation to learn. We don't ask for anything. And if people are happy, let it be our secret. Well, even if there really is no moral lesson in this story, I'd like to think there is!

I love this book. My dad read it to me when I was little and when ever I asked (even after I could read it myself). To this day I hear his voice when I try to read it.The story is fabulous as are the illustrations. Both give an ever so slight nod to God the great creator.

Grandmother had this at her house and as a child,I loved to read it over and over. I always loved the vivid colors.

This is a surprisingly melancholy tale about a grandpa bunny who brings color and art to the world. When the grandpa leaves to go off on a secret, important job, the little bunnies aren't sad. I understand that the story was written to help children understand about a grandparent's death, but it seemed a bit too metaphorical. The narrative is fairly old fashioned and the illustrations are cartoonish and colorful. The book mentions that Disney based this story on a short film called Funny Little
