To pick a favorite Mary Berry cookbook is no easy task. However, this is one of the go to cookery books on my shelf and has one of my most cherished recipes "sausage meat lasagna" with spinach and mushrooms, absolutely amazing.

I'm a huge Mary Berry fan, but I have to admit not as many recipes appealed to me in this book as I'd expected when I ordered it.A lot of the appetizers and desserts look amazing, but the main dishes weren't as compelling as I'd hoped. Maybe once I start trying a few, I'll change my mind and try more.As other reviewers have mentioned, there are a lot of hard-to-find ingredients for those of us who don't live in the U.K., but that's to be expected for a British cookbook. For the most part, easy

Full of simple and tasty family meals. Easy recipes which create great results.

I wanted to try so many of the recipes in this book, but had to return it to the library before I'd made a dent in it. Mary's salmon recipe was wonderful, but I really messed up on her lemon bars. I will need to give them another try, following the recipe exactly!

Excellent book from one of U.K.s favourite cooks. Recipes really work and are easy to follow. Many can be prepared in advance- great if youre having pals round for dinner!
