4.5 stars - Short, sweet and smokin HOT! ♥ Fans of the Up In The Air series were treated to a hint at Lana and Akiras story in Grounded and now we get to see their story in full detail.Lana is returning to Maui, her beloved childhood home, on a business trip eight years after having her heart broken by the only man shes ever loved. Her heart has never healed and she has never moved on. But little does she know, that despite all the years and miles separating them, hes never forgotten her
This novella fits nicely into the Up In The Air series, after Grounded, and tells the story of Lana reuniting with her childhood love, Akira. Lana has shared some of their backstory in previous books of the series, and this book sees her returning home to Maui on business. She misses her island paradise terribly, but has stayed away for 8 years after she seduced Akira, they had one amazing night together, and then he broke her heart.Well, of course, shes not even on the island a day before she
2.5 starsWas very excited to see Lana and Akira's story, but was disappointed in the novella. With a full length book, perhaps I would have felt more of a connection to the story, but that did not happen here.Lana's extremely forward behavior in the first part of the story just set the wrong tone for me and I never recovered. Lots of missed potential for the two main characters and the evil OW issue left unresolved.Despite my disappointment with this novella, I am looking forward to her next
4.5 ReviewComes out March 11th!!!*ARC provided for honest review*We get Lana's story!!!For those of you who have not read the Up in the Air series....I have to ask WHY THE HELL NOT??? I would read that series before reading this novella, so you know and understand Lana a bit before reading. When we first met Lana, we had mixed feelings and tried to feel her out. We knew we needed Mr. Cavendish and Bianca together and we didn't know exactly how Lana placed in that. After learning of their strong
4.5 StarsThis little novella was so enjoyable and if you loved RK Lilley's UP IN THE AIR series, then you will more than likely love this as much. LANA might have been a short little story but RK Lilley sure had me flushing quite a times. Akira was delicious. AKIRA!I loved every bit of that Hawaiian God and Lana was a great character. Even with all her insecurities when it came to Akira, she had a lot of personality. And also how can you not love a girl after you hear her say, "Do you think you
I loved R.K. Lilleys Up in the Air Series and I was so looking forward to Lanas story. She was such an adorable, strong, independent and totally lovable character. I was expecting an amazing love story between Lana and Akirawho sounded really interesting. And what happened???? Let me begin by saying that I wanted to love this book but honestly I just cant. I struggled and struggled t finish it and the only reason I persevered was due to me wanting some more of James and Bianca..It was like
