Wroth
The marines took me from a Tennessee farm boy and turned me into a hard man. Between the things I’d seen during my tour of duty and the things I’d done during my years as a member of OtherWorld, nothing could faze me. Nothing.
Except for HER.
She’s everything that is good in the world. At least, my world. Everything I’ve ever done has been for her. Always for her. I feel as if I need her to breathe, to feel alive. But I can’t have Marissa. She’s to innocent, to damn perfect. And me? I’m not good enough for that girl. She deserves better, someone who would spend their life CHERISHING her. Not breaking her heart.
Marissa
Between my brother and Wroth Niall I’d been protected from the world for most of my life. You would think I was still a little girl the way they treated me. But I wasn’t made out of glass. It would take a lot to break this girl. Because if a childhood cancer hadn’t kicked my butt, nothing would. Right?
Wrong.
All I’ve ever wanted was for him to look at me. Really look at me and see that I wasn’t a fragile piece of porcelain that would break if he touched me. What I got was a lot more…but nowhere close to enough. Once I touched heaven—at least heaven for me—and now I didn’t know how to go back to what Wroth and I had had before. I can’t go back to the life I was living before my short time with Wroth. It would destroy me to stay that close, when I know that I’m not what he really wants. So when my brother asks me to go on tour with him yet again, I decide to jump on that tour bus without a backwards glance.
Only I wasn’t prepared to be stuck on HIS bus.

1.5 starsThe good: I was glad we got to revisit the other rockers in this book. The way they are involved (band tours, flatmates etc.) is natural and the relationships are not forced. The bad: Several references were made about Marissa and (view spoiler)[suicide (hide spoiler)]. This felt like unnecessary drama and it did nothing to develop the story. It was an issue conveniently used or conveniently forgotten for the sake of the storyline. I really, really dislike when serious real life issuesThis book series started of well, and it was all readable, but then we ran out of Demon's Wings members. I wanted t know about Nik's life, then Jesse, then Drake, and even Shane, but then the series loosed up the grip it had on me. I dismissed the writing style of the series until I lost interest; honestly, there's so much fanfiction on ao3 that's better written and more eventful.
Wroth has always loved Marissa. The day she and her brother Liam came into his family she brought a light into his life. Everything he did, he did for her. She was so sweet and innocent he couldnt help but want to protect her and take care of her. He joined the marines to help save his familys farm. Leaving home a boy but coming back a hardened man. The things he had seen during his tour of duty would haunt him for years. Marissa was the only good in his world. Then she got cancer and all he
2-2.5 StarsThis was my least favorite in the series (thus far), which was VERY surprising to me being that I had been very much looking forward to Marissa and Wroth's story for the last couple books. Their scenes from previous books had led me to believe that their book was going to be awesome, but alas it was not meant to be. The chemistry they displayed previously was here in the beginning and then just just kept dwindling as the story continued. Also, they were supposedly apart for more than
Needed a bit more steam but I really liked it!Wish there was a bit more detail into what Wroth did during the year they were apart, so I took off for that.
This has by far been my favorite of the Rocker series so far. I loved how Wroth was a gentle giant with Marissa and their love was so strong and fierce. The reason Marissa stayed away from Wroth WAS believable. He was so territorial of her and it was awesome! I loved hearing his thoughts about Rhett & Marissa and his caveman antics. Great read!
I will start this out saying I do not give many 5 star reviews but I am a huge fan of this series and real believe that this book totally deserves it. This is Wroth from the Otherworlder's and Marissa Liam's sister. This book can be read as a stand alone but you will be introduced to these characters in The Rocker who wants me. When we first meet these characters we learn that when Marissa was younger she was diagnosed with Leukemia she did go into remission from the disease but all of the group
