A sight for the eyes wether if it's on the shelves or opened infront of you, the Magic is thereNow on the book, the story is powerful, Gothic with even a darker than usual theme, one of Gaiman's most influential keys and strong features is his impressive background in mythology, and he add that in just the right way in Book ONE of the Sandman series, dreams pass all living things one way or another, so

Sandman changed what I read!Okay, I had heard about Sandman... seen the goth girls wearing ankhs (if you read Sandman you'll know why they wear them)... And had read how Neil Gaiman won very prestigious writing awards for this "comic book" of his.But I was never a fantasy fan and I mistakenly lumped this book in with the typical fantasy I had been exposed to in the past. One day though I found one of the greatest writers of our time, (yeah I said it, and I know it's a bold statement) Alan Moore.

It's been more than ten years since I first read Sandman, and I've read it through probably close to a dozen times since. This is my first crack at The Absolute Sandman. Obviously, I love Sandman, or I wouldn't be reading it yet again. And yet, I never read exactly the same Sandman twice. I see more, and I see differently, every time I read it. So how can I possibly review Sandman? I just can't. All I can say is how very, very happy I am to get to read it again.

It is many things all at once. Some parts of it, especially near the beginning , seem to be of a Gothic horror nature ,yet, in the middle part of the volume there is a shift towards a fantasy based romp through a dreamworld. Holy crap. I don't read many comics, but boy am I glad I read this?! This is absolutely amazing and I love Neil Gaiman so much for this. Honestly, y'all gotta read this piece of art.

As I was looking for a book to read by Gaiman, I came across this title. A lot of people have liked it and there were tones of paragraphs written praising the Sandman series by Gaiman. So I rushed to the library and picked this one (couldn't afford to buy this one, way too expensive. But someday!). The book didn't capture my imagination at first.
